When most of us think of October, we think of witches, goblins, ghosts and the first signs of fall. A lesser-known fact about October is that it also happens to be Adopt-A-Shelter Dog month. The ASPCA started this to promote adoption and raise awareness of the millions of dogs living in shelters throughout the United States. Whether you’re able to adopt a dog or not—the following are ways to support shelters during October and throughout the year.

Step1 : Visit local shelters or attend off-site adoption events to find a dog to adopt. Most private and even some city shelters sponsor adoptions at parks, pet supply stores and other locations for convenience and to make it easier on those who find it too heartbreaking to visit a shelter. During the month of October, many shelters offer discounts or waive fees on adoptions, and some offer a larger discount on older dogs.

Step2 : Attend shelter fundraising events, including pet fairs, many of which are held in October. Even if you can’t adopt a dog or already have your quota, you can still attend a pet fair and patronize pet-related vendors, enter raffles, contests and participate in various other activities. You can also bring your dog along.

Step3 : Donate supplies, money and/or your time to a local animal shelter or rescue. There are various ways you can volunteer including walking dogs, cleaning cages and doing office work.

Step4 : Attend a shelter dog photo exhibit at a local library, museum or art gallery. Various venues sponsor these exhibits during October in honor of Adopt-A-Shelter Dog month.

Step5 : Enter your dog’s photo in the ASPCA’s annual Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month photo contest and let other pooch parents know about it as well. The deadline is October 31. There are various prizes, including having your baby’s face adorn the ASPCA website (See Resources below).

Step6 : Tell everyone you know that October is Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month and ask them what they’re waiting for. The dog of their dreams is waiting to be rescued.

Step7 :
Did you think the ASPCA would help Spot and not Kitty? Follow the same steps for Adopt-A-Shelter Cat Month in June. Let’s put a dent in the number of dogs and cats in shelters.

During election season the politicians love to start slinging mud and discrediting their opposition. There are some very ridiculous rants out there, but there are several rants against Barack Obama that just take the cake. Ridiculous rants are divisive and impede voters from informing themselves as to which candidate would be best suited to run this country. Everyone has a different perspective as to which issues are the most important to them, but as fair warning here I am an Obama supporter and do not perscribe to the right wing Republican mentality. Keep in mind I will not be praising ridiculous rants against Barack Obama, but I will actually be lambasting these tirades. There are many ridiculous rants against Obama, but these are the three that really need to just go away and live in a cave.

Ridiculous Rant #1: Obama Is Selling Out By Proposing To Open Talks With Iran

Obama plans to open talks with all world leaders when elected to office, which is a shrewd and intelligent move. McCain states the US would be selling out by speaking with Iran or Syria, but how is this so? The Bush/McCain stance is the equivalent to a child on the playground allowing a bully to throw sand on them without trying to rationalize with the troublemaker. Obama succinctly stated that when and if the US would hold talks with Iran that we would not just sit there while Iranian President Ahmadinejad spewed non-sense, but the U.S. would stand firm and negotiate our position. To me Obama’s agenda is refreshing because he is ready to normalize relations with countries that been strained over opposition to the US involvement in Iraq war. By proposing to open talks with Ahmadinejad, Obama has illustrated he is no longer going to perpetuate the passive aggressive tactics of the Bush administration. Any world power is much better off rationally dealing Iran as opposed to treating them like the Joker in a Bat Man comic book. Back in 2003 the US made a mistake by invading Iraq in the fashion we did, but the only way to undo the damage is by withdrawing in an orderly and secure fashion. Obama proposes to withdraw troops from Iraq so the US can focus on strengthening our defense on other fronts. For instance, back during the Hurricane Katrina there was a slow response for sending military aid to the victims, so what would happen if we were attacked or a larger scale natural disaster occurred tomorrow? When Bush visited San Bernardino County in 2003 he said there are great burrito stands in the region, but he did not even discuss the fire dangers and lack of FEMA funding for potential fires. Our current president and McCain are both concerned with stabilizing Iraq, which is almost impossible, but what do they really know about the natural dangers facing the US such as floods, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes? At the present moment our military forces are spread too thin and we need to focus on bringing our fine American soldiers back home. They deserve to be kept out of harms way as much as possible, and not thrown in the snare pit with terrorists being indoctrinated by the debacle in Iraq. We need an intelligent leader such as Obama who is discerning enough to speak with all world leaders and not fuel the fire by making belligerent remarks.

Also, Obama shows cultural sensitivity in his ability to pronounce the name Ahmadinejad, which is not at all difficult to say for anyone that actually tries. Many Iranians who fled the Islamic Revolution of 1979 have become naturalized U.S. citizens and have American born children, but how do you think this makes them feel when a presidential candidate such as McCain cannot even pronounce a Farsi surname? However, there is no excuse when he keeps tripping over Ahmadinejad’s name, and it conveys to many Iranian-Americans and others that McCain either is not practicing his speeches, or learning how to pronounce unique surnames is not important to him. Even a teacher in a classroom knows it is important to say every one’s name correctly, so this is something McCain should emulate. If McCain cannot even pronoucne the Ahmedinejada’s name, how can we expect him to have the astude political knowledge needed to deal with other world leaders? Several Republicans interviewed on Fox 11 in Los Angeles were purposely stumbling over Ahmadinejad’s name by calling him Aqua Velvet, which show they have no respect for people with Farsi last names. Growing up in Southern California I have encountered a few Caucasian right wing Republicans who make disparaging remarks such as these, even if they claim and actually believe they are not being prejudiced. Being an ethnically mixed person this is another reason I would not vote for a candidate who does not have the cultural sensitive to at least practice saying a unique surname. A candidate for the highest office in America should practicing his speeches well in advance and should not be tripping over names. Obama’s speech delivery is pleasing to the ears and shows he is well prepared to deal with the bigger issues of the day.

Ridiculous Rant #2: Obama Is A Muslim

If anyone still believes this ridiculous rant then they need to start reading more accurate news sources. This is one of the most absurd rants that people have been using to discredit Obama since he first entered the presidential race. There is still a degree of racism alive and well when people claim that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim just because of his name. He was named after his Kenyan father and his grandfather was a Muslim, but this in turn does not make Barack Obama a Muslim. Please read this if you still have any doubts about Barack Obama being a Muslim. Thankfully this ridiculous rant has somewhat died down since Obama has gained more support with his nomination to the Democratic presidential ticket, but there are sites such as this one that still carry on with this ridiculous tirade.

Ridiculous Rant #3: Obama May Be A Christian, But He Is Not Christian Enough To Lead This Country

What the heck? Since when should we elect leaders based on their religious affiliation? Never! In the days of King Henry VIII of England he was the defender of the faith and created a new church for his country, but why did he do this? So he could divorce Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn because in those days the Catholic Church absolutely refused to grant divorces to monarchs. Was Henry a theologian or even following the Biblical example by divorcing Catherine? No, he was created the Church of England simply to marry Anne Boleyn and secure a male heir to the throne. The behavior of political leader such as Henry VIII shows why we do not want politicians in charge of religion today. America was founded on the premise of separation of church and state, with Article VI of the Constitution stateing that there is no religious test to hold an office here in the United States. Thus, anyone who insists we must elect a Christian candidate to office is actually going against the spirit of our founding fathers. When our Constitution was written several of the founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were deists that believed in God, but they did not prescribe to the Christian faith. These are two of the best and most celebrated leaders in American history, but if either of them were running for office today right wing Christian Republicans would be attacking them with much more scrutiny than Barack Obama. It is very sad state of affairs when things get to this point. Just to set the record straight Obama is a Christian, but this should never be the reason we elect someone to office, and the Constitution protects a person’s right to be any faith, whether they be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or even a tree worshipper. It is their choice, and you as the American voter are audicious and out of line if you expect the next president to be a fundamentalist Christian that will repeal Row vs. Wade. It is going against the Constitution if you claim Barack must be a better Christian to rule this country. We should elect someone to office because of their stance on the improving the economy, jobs, and relations with other powers.

It is absurd to hear that some fundamentalist Christians actually believe McCain is a better Christian than Obama. First off it says in the Bible that we are not supposed to judge others, but never mind that point when it comes to their way of thinking. However, if we must get into the character of the candidates it is clear Obama is much more of a Christian because he has never cheated on his lovely wife and treats her and their children with respect. However, McCain left his first wife Carol McCain after a disfiguring car accident alerted her looks. I see that Carol is a beautiful woman and I know she has a good heart to stand by McCain to this day, but how could he cheat on her the way he did if he was a so-called “good Christian”? Honestly I could care less about McCain’s religious mores as many of our best presidents had a woandering eye, but I wish people would stop falling for the baloney that McCain is a better Christian=Better President talk. McCain was running around with girlfriends on the side and eventually left Carol and his children for a more exciting model. If we must compare candidates and their Christian family values, Obama comes up head and shoulders. I believe McCain is an intelligent man with an admirable war and political record, but this record is not strong enough for him to be elected to the highest office of the country.

As a Christian person I would never elect a president based on their faith, but based on their policies of what they can do to improve the economy, health care, end the housing crisis, and many other issues of much higher importance. I do not believe Obama will wave his magic wand and cure all of these issues over night, but his well informed policy making will be a much better direction than John McCain’s war driven policies. For the most part I ignore the ridiculous rants against Barack Obama. If your truth on the issues leads you to elect McCain in good conscience then that is your right as an American citizen, but please stop ranting about how Obama is a Muslim, a sell-out, or not Christian enough for you. There are other people in this country who are not Christians and we need to elect a leader that will implement policies to improve the country. As far as I am concerned the future president can worship a spam can as long as he will work towards improving the economy and withdrawing the US forces from Iraq.

Do You Want to Write Spam, or Do You Want to Write?

Do you dream of earning your living writing for the internet, but so far all you have earned is $3.62 from Google Adsense through your blog? Would you like to turn that $3.62 into $3,620 in only four weeks? Well guess what?

You can’t !!!

No, seriously, you can’t. At least it’s not very likely. Not if you really want to be a writer. If you want to be a spam writer, you might be able to do it, but you will hate yourself in the morning even if you succeed.

I write web copy for this British guy who has an affiliate marketing website. Every week I review 10-25 websites that promise people they can make $5000 while they are brushing their teeth, just by setting up a dummy affiliate site and promoting a product. Then, they are told they can kick back (or brush their teeth) and watch the money roll in. Often the product is a CD or E-book on how how to make money setting up affiliate marketing sites. (Are you dizzy yet? Good!)

At first, I didn’t even know this kind of thing existed. This particular writing job was one of my first, and the guy I do this for is a nice guy and pays me on time. The work is easy if a little boring. So, even though I have plenty of other more interesting projects now, I still write these reviews once a week. It takes me maybe 20 minutes, and it get $65 for that. That’s $195.00 an hour, but if I did that for an hour I’d shoot myself. So I don’t.

I soon realized that there is an avalanche of this crap on the web–that’s why my guy has a whole website devoted to nothing but reviews of it–and 99% of it is dreadful, boring, hyped-to-the-nines garbage. I also realized that a lot of people would like to earn money actually writing for the internet as opposed to paying money to someone else to learn about MLM or affiliate marketing scams.

I am no expert on how to earn money writing, but I do currently earn more than I did at my day job just by writing for the web. So I know it can be done. I made $440 a week gross at my day job ( that IS gross! But hey, I live in Michigan…), and last week, I made $560 writing online for that week. I’ve got another $500 or so lined up for this week. And I still have my day job, only half-time now because I have too much writing now to work full-time elsewhere, and the writing pays better. I’ve only been doing this writing since November of 2007.

So, in the spirit of sharing (for free) what I’ve learned so far about how to earn money writing online, here are some tips. Please feel free to add your own. I’m always looking for good advice.

Plan to Work Hard I spend a LOT of time writing. But I love to write. When I’m not writing, I’m looking for new writing work or keeping track of my finances, or visiting other writers’ sites and networking, or emailing my regular clients and setting up projects. This bit of advice may sound kind of silly, but if you don’t love to write, I mean LOVE to write as in eat, breath, sleep, dream about it, don’t try to earn money as a writer. It’s not easy money, but if you keep at it, it can be good money.

Establish an Internet Presence Join several writing sites that pay-per-click like HubPages, Helium, Triond, PrintnPost, or Associated Content. You should also start your own blog with Blogger or Wordpress. Then write your ass off. Do this for at least a month, and garner any cudos you can at these sites. At Helium, you can win weekly writing contests and you can also sell articles outright in their Marketplace section. The negative there is that you are peer rated for Helium contests, and that system can be crushing to a delicate ego. But then, if you have a delicate ego and want to write for money, toughening up is a good idea anyway.

Start Your Own Website My favorite place to do this is Weebly, but there are lots of places you can set up a website without shelling out any money. The nice thing about Weebly is you don’t have to know anything about HTML or code or anything, it’s all done through templates and WYSIWYG functions. Although this may sound like an egomaniacal thing to do, once you start applying for freelance work, its amazingly effective in nailing projects. Buyers will often ask for samples and you can just refer them to your website. Post a real photo of yourself and a professional bio, and post four or five samples of your writing. You can also post a link to your blog. Think of this site as your online resume. Resist the urge to be flip or coy about your ambitions, and pass up avatars and animated .gifs in lieu of a real photo of your real self. Buyers want to work with a real person, not a sparkly porpoise jumping over a rainbow over and over again.

Set up a Profile at Several Freelance Sites I get most of my freelance work at Elance, but I’ve also heard good things about Guru.com. My daughter sent me a site called ODesk, but I don’t much care for it. A lot of the work posted there is horribly underpaid. The same rules for your website apply to your profile at these freelance sites. Be serious, not flip. A sense of humor is fine, but present yourself the way you would for any job. Take some time with it and don’t be modest about your accomplishments, as this is what will get you work. Some sites offer to validate your credentials for a fee, which may or may not be worth it to you, depending on your credentials. Think of any money you have to spend on this sort of thing as an investment in yourself. And remember, a lot of it will be deductible on your taxes as a business expense.

Bid On Some Jobs Bid cheap at first, and keep at it until you get something. Most of these sites allow you to bid a certain number of times for free, and after that you have to pay a membership fee. I bid for free until I got work, then I joined and paid the fee. Lots of people balk at paying the fee, but I look at it like this: The fee I pay at Elance is less than what I currently spend on gas to get to my $12/hr day job five days a week. Once you successfully complete a few jobs, you can start upping your price and being a bit more selective.

Decide What You Want to Write and What Your Boundries Are Actually I just got this piece of advice here at HubPages. It’s GREAT advice. I was having trouble sporadically with clients who would advertise one thing, then ask for 12 more things once I committed to the work, without any extra pay. I don’t like to use contracts. If I can’t trust the person I’m writing for then I don’t want to write for them. It may well take you awhile to learn what you like to write and what you don’t, when and how you want to be paid, how much rewriting you are willing to do, how much pestering you are willing to take, and so on. Once you complete several projects, you will begin to see a pattern emerging regarding what goes well and what doesn’t, and you will be able to sniff out the clinkers faster and faster.

Expect to Get Stiffed Occasionally Actually I’m amazed at how seldom this happens. I’ve been stiffed once and underpaid twice, but on all of those occasions I could see trouble brewing and did not act quickly or decisively to head it off. I try to stick with ‘escrowed’ work–that is, work that is set up so that the buyer puts the money up front into an escrow account through your third party freelance site, then releases it to you when you’ve completed the project. I have done work without escrow, and I still get paid. It just makes me nervous. The one time I got stiffed was a non-escrowed project, and to make matters worse it was an E-book so I’d already written about 12,000 words whe nthey buyer backed out. This kind of thing will happen, and you will learn from it. Don’t take it personally.

Exit at the First Whiff of Trouble If a client is a pain in the butt and very demanding and unpleasant, graciously fire that client as soon as the project feels ‘off’. My three unpleasant experiences (out of dozens of good ones) were all drawn out way too long in my naieve efforts to please unpleasable exploitive clients. I back out by thanking them and saying a lot of positive stuff that basically, underneath the schmaltz says, “Go away, ok?” Don’t be nasty, don’t be emotional, just exit ASAP. One of the best things about working for yourself is you get to fire your clients if they mistreat you.

Keep Searching for New Venues New sites spring up almost daily, so when you are bored or need a break from writing about whatever it is you are currently writing about, search the web for other writing sites. Search HubPages and sites like it for articles by people who write for money and read about what works for them. I’ve found so many good things this way.

Self-Publish Back in the day when you had to self-publish on real paper there was a certain stigma to doing it. However, some of the best-selling books ever were initially self-published. Here are just a few best-selling books that started out as self-published (on paper) books:

Remembrance of things Past, by Marcel Proust

Ulysses, by James Joyce

The Adventures of Peter Rabbit, by Beatrix Potter

A Time to Kill, by John Grisham

The Wealthy Barber, by David Chilton

The Bridges of Madison County

What Color is Your Parachute

In Search of Excellence by Tom Peters

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield

The Elements of Style by William Strunk, Jr. (and his student E. B. White)

The Joy of Cooking

When I Am an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple

Life’s Little Instruction Book

Robert’s Rules of Order

Today, it’s a lot easier to self-publish. You can self publish for free or a nominal fee at Lulu, CreateSpace, or BookSmart, just to name a few, and you can charge buyers by the downloadable .pdf file. If you wanted a printed paper book you can do that too. You can even order services through these sites like cover art & illustration. For a small fee you can purchase an IBSN number for your book and market it through Amazon, and also make it searchable in any library or bookstore data base.

So if you are sitting on a book you’ve been sending around to slushpiles for years, think about just publishing it yourself instead. If you do well, publishing houses will approach YOU. Wouldn’t THAT be cool?

Keep at It Most people who succeed at what they do are relentless. They don’t slap up one MLM website and lay around and collect money, they do something they love and they keep on doing it no matter what until it works out for them. They can’t NOT do it; that’s how much they love it. They don’t take failure personally, they learn from it and keep doing whatever it is they do. The same is true of writing.

My own personal feeling about it is that, while you can teach people to write or to write better, you can’t teach anybody to be a writer. You either ARE a writer or you are not a writer. If you are a writer, you know this already. If you aren’t a writer and aren’t sure if you are one, but you think you might like to be one, then what you need to do first and foremost is start writing, then never stop. Never stop. One day, boom, you will realize that you are pretty much writing all the time, and at that point you will also realize, that, duh, you must be a writer after all!

So that’s my free advice, for what it’s worth. (Which may not be much?!) Take a chance, learn and love, live and let live, be happy.

Life is too short to waste it doing anything besides what you love.

Let’s take a quick look at some weight loss tips and advice for those of you who are struggling to lose weight. If you are one of the tens of millions of folks who are simply UNABLE to have any success on a diet, you are unquestionably frustrated about your fat loss failure. But the truth is, you aren’t alone….as studies show that over 90% of people who diet will either NOT lose weight, or gain it ALL back (and more) once you have. Read on as we take a look at a few tips that have worked wonders for me, and thousands of others around the globe..:-)

Tip #1: Forget About the Fads!

Did you know that some dieters spend YEARS of their lives wasted on reading about, researching and then TRYING fad diets that simply don’t work. Wow, right? That’s a lot of wasted time, effort AND income to boot! The simple truth is that while our understanding of the body may grow and evolve, sound nutritional principles don’t. A calorie is a calorie…and that will NOT change, regardless of what book of the month comes out to offer the promise of magical fat loss. This is the first step to finding success, resolving yourself to STOP chasing fads, and START

Tip #2: Pick a Program That is Proven to Work!

Simply following in the footsteps of people who have already BEEN successful on a diet is an easy and elegant way of sharing in their results as well. The problem that so many of us face when starting a diet is trying to re-invent the wheel….or find a shortcut, a magic pill or solution that is going to give us the results we want. Not ONLY does this not work, it more often than not proves to be a recipe for regression, and I’m NOT talking about turning back the hands on the scale, either..:-)

Remember - it’s YOUR responsibility to lose weight and take control of your body, your health and your reflection. You CAN do it, many of us have been in the very same place, and once you decide you’re READY to be thin….you WILL be, I promise!

Do you want to date pregnant women? Maybe you want to have an intimate encounter with such a woman? Pregnant personals are the answer. In the short paragraphs that follow you will learn how to easily find pregnant women for dates or intimate encounters and how to do so without spending any money or having to use a credit card. It can be achieved in minutes from the comfort of your own home.

One solution is a site dedicated to pregnant personals. Search in google or yahoo and you will find several sites dedicated to men seeking pregnant women. If you live in a large city these sites are often ideal. You will find plenty of members in your vicinity. The only downside is the price. Such sites tend to require a credit card and a hefty membership fee required to become a member. If you don’t live in a popular city, or own a credit card, this kind of site is useless.

The other solution you may consider is a free adult dating site. There is, however, a huge downside to this choice. Free sites tend to be created to attract large amounts of people to be spammed with paid products and services. Not only that but their search engines are often very simple and will not allow you to actually find pregnant members. These, along with pregnant personals niche sites, are clearly not the answer either.

The only really good solution is a free membership to a popular paid dating site. A free membership to a paid dating site sounds contradictory. When you join a paid dating site they give you a free account. The free account entitles you to all the benefits you would get at a totally free dating site - searching, messaging, adding friends - but comes without the hassle of spam. Now the great thing about such dating sites is they have match-making software and advanced search engines. This means you can quickly and easily find the women you desire.

When you make a profile about how you would like to meet pregnant women, this has two effects. The search engine of the site will immediately start sending these people to view your page. The second thing is the match-making software will tell you which members in your town are actually pregnant. This makes it easy to find a match. You do not even have to do anything. Once you make a profile and wait a few minutes, an hour at most, you will start getting messages from these beautiful women.

Using pregnant personals is an easy way to find the women you desire. Just remember to avoid the free sites and the niche sites. Choose a popular dating site and make a good profile. You will have dozens of potential dates within an hour of joining up.

Do you have a fetish for attractive lactating women? If the answer is yes then I am sure that at one time or another you have wanted to date such a beautiful woman. Years ago this would have been difficult to say the least. Now, however, with new niche dating sites appearing almost every day and advanced dating technology, it has become easy to find a date with this special category of woman. In the paragraphs to follow you will learn a simple way to easily meet the kind of women you desire.

If you choose your favorite search engine and enter a search with your fetish words followed by either personals or dating, this will uncover a smattering of fetish dating sites. The problem with these sites is they require a credit card for membership and charge a massive fee. If you join one you are also likely to be disappointed. More often than not you will fail to find lactating women in your town or city; this is made more upsetting after having paid a large fee.

Is there a good, free solution to finding lactating females on the internet? Yes. It is free and can be accomplished in minutes.

Find a popular paid dating site with a few million members; between 5 and 10 million members should be sufficient. Do not choose a totally free dating site. Why? These sites are free for a reason. They steal identities and spam you with live cams, among other things. Choose a dating site you can trust; something popular with millions of members. Get a free account and make a quick profile. Your free account entitles you to send and receive messages, add friends, and search profiles; all you need from a dating site. You do not need a credit card for this and you only upgrade if you want extra features.

How do you find attractive lactating women? Simple. In your profile you should state the kind of women you desire. This will do two things. The internet search engine of the site will deliver these type of women to your profile when they put in searches. Not only that but the advanced match-making software will tell you which women are suitable in your town or city; you can then contact them or add them as friends.

Now the last part requires some work but is more than worth it. Go to advanced search and enter your criteria. You want women who lactate in your town or city. You can actually enter this into a search and it will bring up hundreds, maybe even thousands of results.

What you do then is begin adding these women as friends. Add as many as you like and then wait for replies. You should get replies almost instantly. You can then reply to these women and see which ones you would like to meet most.

So this is how you can easily meet attractive lactating women in your neighborhood. It is free, simple and, best of all, a very effective method to meet this difficult to find category of woman.

Have you ever wanted to arrange a truly romantic evening for you and your partner; something special that they will always remember? Maybe this is your first date and you want to pull out all the romantic stops? In this article you will learn two things. You will learn some fantastic romantic evening ideas but you will also learn how to devise your own ideas for that special romantic evening.

A Picnic Under The Stars - Take a blanket, a lamp and a picnic with you outdoors and sit with your lover under the stars. You could do this in the back yard, on an apartment block, or somewhere more idyllic, perhaps in a setting by a lake. Sat under the stars you and your lover will feel like the only two people alive on the planet. If you want to add a little more fun to the occasion, you could bring along a telescope.

A Dinner On A Rented Row Boat - Take a row boat into the center of a lake and enjoy a meal or just a drink. The waves will gently lap at the boat as you talk under the stars in this quiet, romantic setting.

A Moonlit Walk - Take a moonlit walk together. What you might do is walk together and then find somewhere to sit and watch the sun set. Then continue and enjoy an equally romantic moonlit walk. You could bring along food or just a bottle of your favorite wine.

Rent A Limo - Drive around town in style in a rented limo. Go to a nice restaurant and perhaps a bar afterwards. Then ask your driver to just take you around some romantic settings while the two of you talk and drink in the back.

A Romantic Evening At Home - Your home can be turned into a romantic setting with little effort. Dim or turn out the lights. Place lit candles around the areas you will sit. Put some romantic music on low. You could even arrange for a good friend to do the cooking who, once the food is finished, will silently leave you and your lover alone.

A Bath Together - You could lay hundreds of rose petals in a bath, site in the bath together amid candles, with low-playing music in the background.

A Carriage Ride - A horse and carriage ride may be a cliche but some things become cliches for a reason: they are good ideas. Your driver will know exactly where to take you for a romantic trip. You could end your ride with a nice drink and a meal.

Spend The Evening In A Hotel - To add a little fun and spice to the evening you could check in to the hotel using false names or, perhaps, even the same name if that is equally exciting. Spend an evening ordering room service, bathing together, and enjoying close intimacy.

When you create your own romantic evening ideas remember to tailor it to suit your partner. If they have a special fondness for roses, then a bath together amid dozens of rose petals might be a good idea. It depends on the individual. If you tailor your ideas to suit them they will see how much effort you have gone to and the evening will be all the more romantic.

Before we get into where to look, you may be wondering why approaching married women is better than, for instance, single women. Simple. Married women have less men approaching them and, unlike single women, they all want casual encounters without any commitment. This means there is less competition when approaching married women and they want what you want: a simple encounter.

The first step then is finding married women seeking an affair online. Ignore the free dating sites. These are scams setup to steal identities and spam members with paid offers like live webcams. Choose a popular dating site with several million members. You can trust these sites and the size of them ensures you will have plenty of wives in your vicinity. Get yourself a free membership. There is no need to use a credit card for this. You just need an email (which you can get free from yahoo or hotmail) and to create a profile.

So now you have a free profile on a big dating site. What can you do with it? Lots. You can search for members, send messages, receive messages, add friends. That is pretty much all you need from a dating site. Now it comes time to locating the married women.

Go to the search page and click on the advanced search link. You can now enter the exact criteria you want. You want to enter your location and women who are married or in a relationship. This will produce hundreds, perhaps thousands, of results; wives seeking affairs in your actual town or city.

Now what you do is add as many of them as you can to your friend list. What this does is encourage them to contact you. It is always best to be contacted. This makes you seem more desirable.

In a few minutes you should have received several dozen messages. You will have fifty, maybe sixty, women from whom to choose. It is important that you approach the married woman seeking an affair in the right way. She is looking for a casual, discreet encounter with someone who wants the same. When you reply to her make sure you let her know that you want a casual, discreet meeting and that you are not seeking a relationship. This will encourage her that you are the ideal person to choose.

So that is how easy it is to find a casual encounter using the internet. Get yourself a free membership on a dating site with a few million members, search for married women in your town, and approach them by letting them know you want the same things as them. You will find getting casual dates is easy, simple and free.

What is ADHD?

Attention Deficit Disorder is becoming increasingly common in society today. The condition is known to affect around 2 million children in the United States, or roughly 3-5% of all children living in the country. There are three main signs of ADD that usually develop over a period of months. These three signs are: hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and inattention. These signs are difficult to detect at times, and therefore may go unnoticed for a long period of time. Because ADD causes no physical symptoms, it cannot be detected in lab and blood tests, and usually requires the help of a psychologist.

Hyperactivity

These people seem to always be moving, or constantly in the middle of something. They have difficulty sitting still during lessons at school and may fidget or move their hands and feet as something to do. Many older children and adults who have ADD say that they are very restless, and usually try to do several things at once in order to keep themselves busy.

Impulsiveness

If a person is shouting out answers to a question before they hear it all, or have difficulty waiting for their turn in activities during the day, they are displaying signs of impulsiveness. These children will often act without thinking things through, displaying emotion without considering the result, etc. When upset at having to wait their turn, a child may hit another, or attempt to take their turn earlier. As teens and adults, they will often engage in things that have immediate gratification rather than engaging themselves in activities that take longer but have a much larger reward.

Inattention

These children and adults have trouble focusing and concentrating on any one thing for long periods of time, unless it is something that they enjoy. They tend to get bored quickly, which makes learning a new skill more difficult. The person who is easily distracted by sights and sounds that are irrelevant, who makes careless mistakes due to lack of attention to detail, and/or forgets several of the things they need during the day (pencils, pens, books, homework) is showing classic signs of inattention. These three main symptoms characterize three main types of ADD:

  1. Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive: These people show more signs of the hyperactivity and impulsiveness than the symptoms of inattention.
  2. Predominantly Inattention: These people show more signs of inattention than the symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsiveness.
  3. Combined: These people show signs of both hyperactivity and impulsivity, along with inattention.

ADHD Behavior Problems

Any parent knows that while children can be angels, they can also be extremely frustrating when behavior problems arise. For those children suffering from ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, the normal solution for those behavior problems will not always work.

What type of behavior problems?

Children suffering from ADHD tend to exhibit certain behaviors and are therefore prone to specific sorts of behavior problems. These behaviors include climbing all over the furniture, which usually leads to that favorite vase or ceramic being knocked over and broken. ADHD children also cannot sit still and keep themselves entertained, which can be very frustrating for a parent who is trying to get things accomplished, even though a parent is aware the child means well and is not behaving this way on purpose. There are things a parent can do, however, to make everyone’s lives easier and more tolerable in a home with a child with ADHD.

Behavior Modification Techniques

One of the most important things for someone with ADHD is to have an established routine. We all have our routines and we all know what happens when that routine gets disrupted one too many times. For children with ADHD, the disrupting of the routine is even more difficult to handle. This means figuring out what tasks you want your child to do on a daily basis. Things like waking up at the same time every day, eating breakfast, and then suggesting they play with the same toy or toys located in the same area of the house can go a long way to helping an ADHD child become more focused.

The key to establishing a routine is reinforcing that routine. While things do come up and it is impossible for routines to be stuck to every day, do your best to stick to it. Keep a list of the tasks you want your child to do every day, and set up a time limit in which to get the list done. If your child does as you have asked, reward them. Establishing routines can go a long way in helping prevent behavior problems associated with ADHD. The use of a system of small rewards and punishments to reinforce behavior is important in all children, but especially so for those with ADHD.

When your child starts climbing all over the furniture, a quick warning and then a brief, negative consequence. Just remember to be quick with reinforcing behaviors and to have more positive rewards than negative consequences. Both you and your child will be much happier.

How to Teach Kids With ADD

In this form of ADD the primary and most significant characteristic is inattentiveness; hyperactivity is not present. Nevertheless, these children still manifest problems with organization and distractability, and they may be seen as quiet or passive in nature. It is speculated that undifferentiated ADD is currently under diagnosed, since these children tend to be overlooked more easily in the classroom. Thus, children with undifferentiated ADD may be at a higher risk for academic failure than those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Establishing The Proper Learning Environment

Children with ADD should sit near the teachers desk, but include them as part of the regular class seating.Keep these students with there backs to the rest of the class, to keep them out of view, which in turn keeps them focused.

Surround students with ADD with good role models.Avoid distracting stimuli. Try not to place students with ADD near air conditioners, high traffic areas, heaters, or doors or windows. Children with ADD do not handle change well, so avoid transitions.Encourage parents to set up appropriate study space at home, with set times and routines established for study, parental review of completed homework, and periodic notebook and/or book bag organization.

Giving Instructions To Students With ADD

Maintain eye contact during verbal instruction. Make directions clear and concise. Be consistent with daily instructions. Simplify directions, avoid multiple commands. Repeat instructions in a calm, positive manner, if needed. Most kids with ADD will not ask for help, so make sure they feel comfortable asking for assistance.Gradually reduce the amount of assistance, but keep in mind that these children will need more help for a longer period of time than the average child.

Giving Assignments

Give out only one task at a time. Monitor frequently. Maintain a supportive attitude
Make sure you are testing knowledge and not attention span.Give extra time for certain tasks. Students with ADD may work slowly. Do not penalize them for needed extra time. Kids with ADD are easily frustrated, Stress, pressure, and fatigue break down their self-control and lead to poor behavior, so be patient with them.

In conclusion kids with ADD just have a learning disability that with patience and perseverance they will succeed in their school years. All these kids need is a little bit more attention than the normal kid, but do not treat them any different as far as calling on them in class.

Help Children Understand ADHD

A child who has just been diagnosed with ADHD will likely have trouble understanding what that means, especially depending on the age at which the diagnosis is delivered. Therefore, as the parent of a child or children with ADHD, it is your job not only to understand the condition, but also help children understand ADHD.

Explain and Answer

You will want to sit down with your child and explain the diagnosis and what it means on a level that they will understand, depending on age and maturity level. You know your child best, so only you will be able to gauge how to do this. It may be difficult if the child is unable to concentrate or cannot sit still enough to really listen to you. Make sure you stay calm, allot plenty of time for the discussion, eliminate as many distractions as possible, and be prepared to repeat yourself or change your approach.

Answer any and all questions the child may have about what this means for them, and offer an approach for making things easier on the family, and at school. Ask for input from your child, such as how he or she would like to handle this, and how they are feeling about what you have told them. Adjust your next move according to your child’s response. Be prepared for emotional outbursts, as result of the impulsivity portion of the disorder.

Be there to Assist

Once you have the initial conversation out of the way, make sure you are there to continue to help the child understand ADHD. If he or she is having problems, you will have to work together with your child and his or her school to re-evaluate and come up with a new plan. If necessary, contact the doctor that gave you the diagnosis and schedule an appointment. There are several different things you can do both medicinally and otherwise in order to treat ADHD, so remember that no matter what happens everything will be okay! Adjust routines, diet and nutrition, and/or medications to make sure that your child is receiving optimal care and the condition is under control.

Following this basic guideline will help you to help your children understand ADHD and what it means for them. It will also help you in terms of being able to cope with the disorder and the complications it may present for you as your child ages.

ADHD and Adults

Contrary to popular belief, ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, is not just a child’s disease. Children with ADHD do grow into adults and rarely outgrow the disorder. In fact, the symptoms in adults can be much worse because of the increasing levels of stress life puts on us.

Adult Symptoms

Adult sufferers of ADHD tend to struggle with everyday situations and self regulation. Being unable to focus, acting on impulse instead of sticking to a schedule, and being unable to regulate emotional reactions are just some of the symptoms. An adult who has ADHD and doesn’t know it is likely to have to do lists that never end, aggravated friends and family members who just do not understand why you cannot seem to pull it all together, and the frustration associated with missed deadlines and appointments.

Other symptoms include being unable to relax, being restless and nervous constantly, talking excessively, having volatile mood swings, constantly misplacing things, blurting out things without thinking and interrupting others without considering consequences, etc. Left untreated, these symptoms can cause utter chaos in one’s life, impacting everything from work to the relationships with a significant other.

Treatment options

If you feel like you have some or all of the symptoms listed above, the first thing you should do is make an appointment with your doctor. Only they can properly diagnose you and suggest treatment. There are several options available to you and your doctor once you’ve been diagnosed. These include therapy, professional organizing, and self-help based practices as well as various medications on the market.

There are dozens of self-help methods out there to help you get more organized and efficient and carrying out your necessary responsibilities, as well as improving your social interactions with people to improve your relationships. Generally, being aware of the disorder, maintaining structure in your life, and creating a support circle of friends and family you can rely on will go a long way in helping you work with ADHD. Simply having someone to talk to about your frustrations can help, as well as gaining acceptance and understanding can help you focus on learning how to work with the effects of ADHD.

Finally, there are several medications out on the market for treating adult ADHD. Discuss this option cautiously with your doctor and be aware of the side effects before agreeing to it. Sometimes, just that extra cup of coffee in the morning can help as opposed to taking a prescription stimulant.

Green your morning coffee

Green your morning coffee

Americans are going green in many ways, but when it comes to coffee, they’re still in the dark. According to a new independent survey, 67 percent of consumers who frequent coffee shops admit to discarding their used paper cups into a trash can. That’s 28 billion cups (100 million pounds of paper) every year that end up in landfills. That’s why home-brewed coffee is such a powerful alternative. Cutting out just one of those typical lattes each day and replacing it with a premium coffee you brew yourself will have a positive impact on the environment and your wallet. The surprising results of the new study have become the foundation for Good Earth Coffee’s ‘Brew at Home’ Pledge campaign. Good Earth is encouraging coffee drinkers to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle and brew their coffee at home. To help inspire coffee lovers to make this change, Good Earth will donate $1.00 for each online pledge they receive to The Trust for Public Land, a national nonprofit environmental organization. To sign the pledge online, visit www.goodearthcoffee.com. Additionally, I’ve created some simple eco-coffee tips that will help all of us put more green in our morning cup.

  1. Buy organic coffee for health benefits and to protect the environment. Look for coffee bags that contain the USDA certified organic stamp.
  2. Consider the packaging the coffee comes in: is it eco-friendly? Packaging that is recyclable or made from renewable resources can reduce the amount of fossil fuels used in the process.
  3. For coffee on-the-go, always take a reusable mug filled with home brewed coffee – it will save time, money and the environment.
